In order to kick-off its International Roadshow, the Asian Consulting Group, in partnership with the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines, will be conducting an Economic and Tax Briefing on February 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM. The Briefing is intended to encourage foreign investors as well as Filipinos overseas to invest and/or do business in the Philippines. As part of the event, there will also be discussions on addressing the high inflation rate in the Philippines, and other economic issues.
The Economic and Tax Briefing will be led by ACG Founding Chairman and Chief Tax Advisor Mon Abrea. Primarily a tax expert, he has recently been studying public administration at the Harvard Kennedy School and has published some proposals to combat the economic issues being faced by the country.
Also attending as a speaker is Prof. Viory Yvonne Janeo, Vice Dean the School of Economics in the University of Asia and the Pacific. She is one of the first researchers of The Economy of Francesco (EoF) Academy, an international network of scholars, including young economists, entrepreneurs, and change-makers who are working toward more ethical, sustainable, and inclusive economic models by conducting and promoting scientific research on issues relating to the EoF.
The event will also be attended by Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Assistant Secretary Jose Chan-Gonzaga and by the president of the International Council for Small Business, Mr. Eric Caeg, with the President of StartUp Village, Mr. Carlo Calimon, as host.
